Sunday Check-In August 3rd, 2025
Welcome to your Sunday Check-in. Let’s take a pause and ask ourselves, how are we really?
Last week in one word:
Take a minute to think about how your week went.
Mine: Unnecessary
Reflection:
A moment I am proud of: I hit my reading goal of 50 books for the year.
Something I’m letting go of: Trying to control outcomes.
A small joy I want to carry forward: The peace of knowing I don’t have everything figured out.
It’s your turn. Reply if you want to share. I love reading reflections; it’s how I get to know you guys.
Current Mood
☐ Emotionally soggy
☐ Soft and sleepy
☐ Romanticizing everything to cope
☐ Cluttered but functioning
☐ Blank stare into the void
☐ Tender, tired, but still trying
I am actually feeling very pleased at the moment. This will most likely end tomorrow.
The week ahead:
This week I want to feel: Silence- my head has so many things running through it, and with my semester coming to an end, I think that will clear out a lot of space in my head.
One thing I’m calling in: Ease- letting things unfold without forcing
Try again list:
☐ Going on my walks
☐ Waking up early (I’ve been going to bed so late, and I hate it)
☐Staying off my phone
Journal Prompt for the week:
Think of a moment recently when you were not kind to yourself. What would it have looked like if you responded to yourself with kindness?
What do you say to yourself when you mess up?
Would you speak to someone you love the way you speak to yourself?
What does being nice to myself look like?
End with this affirmation: I am allowed to speak to myself with kindness, I am allowed to be gentle with myself, I am still learning, and that is enough.
Currently:
What are the things you currently like? What shows have you started? What book are you reading? What are you learning? What have you added to your wish list currently?
Reading: The Art & Business of Online Writing by Nicolas Cole &
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Lani Taylor
Watching: Sandman (if you read fantasy, PLEASE watch this)
Wanting: Moterm travelers’ notebook & MacBook - I want one really badly!!!
Listening: That’s Me Lately -Madison Ryan Ward
Learning: Sudoku (still haven’t made it past the easy level)
